I’m going to start this blog post with a disclaimer: I’m actually in love with Kurt & Alicia’s love. I’m also in love with the two of them as people, and so thankful to have them as clients clients that have now turned into good friends. When I first met Alicia (which, funny story, happened to be through mutual friends drunkenly at a bar in Boystown #truestory #noshame) I had a feeling we were going to get along amazing- and, stylistically, I think we might actually be twins. I knew their wedding was going to be incredible from an aesthetic standpoint, but also because they had a vision for their wedding day that went beyond decorations and food. They wanted to spend the most amount of time possible with each other, which resulted in a first look, reading vows in tall grasses, and setting aside a pretty big chunk of their day for pictures on the golf course. Of course the photographer in me loved this, but now that I call these two friends, it made perfect sense. These two have been together, and are the best of friends. They finish each other’s sentences, giggle at the other’s jokes, and really do complete each other. Along with Alicia & Kurt beaming ear to ear every time they looked at one another, their friends and families were nothing but smiles all day- I wish I could bottle up that kind of love and energy and sell it, because it’s invaluable. Alicia & Kurt, thank you for being the beautiful, kind, caring people you are. And, thank you for trusting me to capture such a beautiful day, I am the luckiest.
