Oh Lexie & Brian…where do I begin?! I first met these two when Brian hired me to capture his proposal to Lexie all the way back in November last year (which, by the way, was featured on “How He Asked” here!) We all instantly clicked on a level I can only explain as feeling like I had actually been friends with them forever.  Fast forward to last week when they traveled all the way from St. Louis to have me capture their engagement session, and that feeling has only grown a million times stronger! I could have spend hours, even days photographing these two around the city. Their love is the perfect combination of playfulness & seriousness- they could be laughing with each other one minute, and the next be having a serious conversation about why they are so perfect for each other. I know I briefly mentioned the hardships I’ve been facing this year a few blog posts back, and these two spent half of our time so intently listening and just wanted to be there for me (I swear, it was just as much a therapy session for me as much as it was a photoshoot for them!) They gave me the most caring, helpful, and genuine advice- they listened and understood the same as my closest friends and family. To capture their love in the city where they officially started their forever was just what my soul needed- and I walked away from our time together feeling excited for this next chapter in my life, a feeling I didn’t think was going to happen for a long time. I don’t know how I got so lucky to have these two land in my life by chance, but I am so incredibly thankful for them. Now, if only I could get them to move to Chicago so we can hang out all the time…. 😉
