Back in the summer of 2017 I was photographing this beautiful wedding at Ravisloe Country Club. Little did I know, Meghan & Jim were newly engaged, touring Ravisloe as a possible wedding venue for themselves on the day I was shooting there. While they were touring, they saw little ol’ me photographing my heart out of Alicia & Kurt’s perfect day. Meghan decided to write down the hashtag on Alicia & Kurt’s signs around the venue so she could stalk the photos & see how their day turned out (she’s literally the Sherlock Holmes of wedding planning ya’ll). She loved the photos, emailed me, and booked me for an engagement session.

I walked away from our session after only knowing them an hour wishing so badly I could photograph their wedding (and if not photograph their wedding, at least somehow find a way to be their friend because I was low-key obsessed with them). Fast forward a year, and my wish came true in both ways.

Photographing their day in August was the best in every way. Meghan & Jim didn’t let anything, including the 90+ degree temperature get in the way of their dream day. They planned a day that celebrated their star to forever in the most heartfelt, beautiful ways. They read vows to one another during the sweetest private moment after their first look…and while I couldn’t even hear what they were saying, I was crying behind my lens watching them cry.

Meghan and Jim, thank you for giving me the incredible gift of trusting me to capture your love. Thank you for being a light in my life this past year. And thank you for being you.

P.S: As an added element of wonderful, Meghan hired Alicia (that beautiful Ravisloe bride she stalked on Instagram) as her day-of coordinator after Alicia started her own amazing wedding planning business. So, everything came full circle as I worked alongside my past bride Alicia at Meghan’s wedding, all thanks to Alicia & Kurt’s hashtag & the universe making sure Meghan & Jim toured the right venue on the right day bringing us all together for their start to forever.
